Our 4K Program
St. Jerome 4K offers each child the opportunity to experience the love of God and Jesus by being made to feel special, valued, loved and cared for. A warm and nurturing classroom environment fosters the development of each child’s confidence, creativity, curiosity and sense of respect for classmates.
GOAL
To provide an opportunity for four year old children to interact, learn about their faith, and participate in academic, social, and emotionally enriching activities.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide opportunities for students to experience God’s love
- To help promote the development of a positive self image
- To develop an understanding and acceptance of others' differences
- To provide opportunities for social interaction
- To help children learn to follow directions in a structured setting
- To help children develop gross and fine motor skills
- To encourage kindergarten readiness skills
CLASS DAYS
4K meets Monday–Thursday from 8:00-11:16am. Our 4K morning program takes full advantage of being a part of our school and participates in music class and physical education. In addition to our morning program we offer an optional afternoon program that families can choose to have their children attend any or all of the days in the afternoon. Our afternoon program runs from 11:17am - 3:15pm, Monday through Friday and costs $15 per day. We ask that your afternoon schedule be determined prior to the start of school and stay consistent throughout the year.
Classes will not be held on days that St. Jerome School is not in session as the 4K program is part of the school. These days would include conference/convention days, as well as snow or other emergency days. If there is a late start due to inclement whether, there will be no morning 4K, although the students enrolled in the afternoon will still have class. Please check the school calendar for specific dates that classes will not be held.
